‘Locked In With The Lord’: CJ Stroud’s 2025 Goal Will Absolutely Inspire You

Ain’t nothing more beneficial than a relationship with God.

It’s been one hell of a season for the Houston Texans, with the team having their ups, their downs and their injuries — a ton of them. But, despite all of that, the franchise has made the playoffs for the second straight year. And a large part of the credit for that goes to their quarterback, C.J. Stroud. Prior to the Texans‘ regular season finale Saturday against the Tennessee Titans, Stroud spoke to the media about his 2025 goals and the future beyond that. But Stroud didn’t give a generic answer of winning a Super Bowl or a particular award, he instead said his goal is to “be locked in” with his relationship with God.

“Lock it back in with the Lord. Kinda in the lukewarm season — one foot in, one foot out. The Lord has helped me get outta that,” said Stroud. “So, that’s really my 2025 goal is to be locked in with the Lord as much as possible. You know, fasting and praying, being part of a church here in Houston. That’s my 2025 goal, being closer to the Lord.”
