A judge at the High Court in London has rejected former President Donald Trump’s legal challenge to the infamous Steele dossier, written by a former British spy.

Thursday’s ruling said Trump’s claim for damages was outside the six-year statute of limitations. Additionally, Judge Karen Stein said there was no “compelling reason” to allow 45 people to stand trial.th The president’s case goes to trial.
President Trump is actively suing Orbis Business Intelligence, founded by Christopher Steele, over data protection grounds.
In 2017, Steele released documents containing unsubstantiated claims about Trump’s personal conduct. He also alleged that there were fraud and conspiracy-related issues between the Trump 2016 campaign and Russia. The controversial report was published without permission.
Additionally, the “Russian collusion” theory consistently spouted by Trump’s detractors for months and years has since been debunked, with the Senate Intelligence Committee finding no evidence of Russian interference. There wasn’t.
Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chan later responded to the ruling, saying the court found there was “no even attempt” to justify or prove the “false and defamatory claims of false documents” by Steele and his group. ”, he said.
“The High Court in London found that there was no attempt by Christopher Steele or his group to justify or even prove the false and defamatory claims contained in the fake documents, which they simply could not have done. ” said Mr. Chan.
He went on to say that Trump will continue to fight for the truth and against all falsehoods like those spewed by Steele and his allies.
“The High Court also found that there was processing and exploitation of those false statements,” Cheung continued. “President Trump will continue to seek the truth and fight falsehoods such as those propagated by Steele and his allies.”
