Corruption Case Involves Suffolk County Officer

Prosecutors revealed that a long-serving officer in Suffolk County confessed to involvement in a sordid prostitution ring on Long Island.

George Trimiliozzi, 56, helped manage a series of brothels in Holbrook, specifically at American Girls Spa, contributing to this questionable enterprise for nearly five years. This scandal allegedly extends to other local figures, including a gym teacher. The District Attorney’s Office made the announcement this week.

A veteran of the police force since 2018, Trimiliozzi was one of three ringleaders to admit guilt regarding corruption and prostitution last week. Before his arrest, he had been recognized as “Cops of the Month” six times. He now faces a potential sentence of up to two years.

Ray Tierney, the Suffolk County DA, stated, “These guilty pleas signify accountability for those who breach public trust and engage in organized crime.” He expressed disappointment that public servants would betray their commitments but reassured that serious repercussions would follow corrupt actions.

Prosecutors indicated that Frank Suggio, 61, and his 33-year-old partner Dana Cialdro operated three brothels on Long Island from 2019 until last year.

As reported by the DA’s office, Suggio is expected to pay roughly $1.9 million in asset forfeiture after authorities seized the Ritzy Fire Island Pad from him. He faces a prison term of two to six years.

Cialdro has agreed to serve six months in prison when she returns to court on November 12.

The trio charged sex workers between $6,000 and $12,000 a month for the privilege of working in their brothels.

Trimiliozzi was closely connected to American Girls Spa, which involved Steven Arey, a 53-year-old teacher from the Islip School District, accused of fraud but not yet found guilty, maintaining a plea of not guilty.

Before his termination, Arey, who worked in the Islip School System for 26 years, faced charges of corporate corruption along with 27 counts related to prostitution.

In another incident, prosecutors noted that on March 19, 2021, Trimiliozzi sped to the Holbrook brothel at 90 mph to investigate reports of a robbery.

Arey, the former gym teacher, was arrested alongside his accomplice in April and has since pleaded guilty to enterprise corruption linked to prostitution charges. Trimiliozzi also pleaded guilty to misconduct and now faces an additional 30 days in jail due to a charge of illegal imprisonment stemming from an incident involving a woman in his vehicle.

His sentencing is set for November 12.
