Vice President Kamala Harris has sought to portray herself as someone who will take a tough stance against illegal immigration after rising to the top of the Democratic candidate list in this year’s election, despite years of vocal opposition and support.
The policy shift was also a response to the historic border crisis that began under President Joe Biden’s administration, initiated by his policies and continued as Harris took on the responsibility of stemming the flow of illegal immigrants from the Northern Triangle countries.
Harris is trying to convince voters that she would do the exact opposite of what she has advocated for, Politico reports. Recently Revealed A longtime open borders activist serves as an adviser to Harris on this key issue.

Frank Schaly has advised the UK Labour Party on how to respond to attacks from the Conservatives on the country’s immigration problem. The Conservatives reneged on their promises to crack down on immigration and were subsequently voted out of power. Now that Labour is in power, it is pursuing its own immigration policy.
Schally praised the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous approach to the border, which has allowed millions of undocumented immigrants to enter the U.S. and put further strain on an already overburdened immigration system.
When it was announced that Alejandro Mayorkas would lead the Department of Homeland Security, said “He was the right person to reverse Trump’s cruelty, advance fair and humane policies, and enact bold change that the American people strongly support. As the architect of the popular and successful DACA program, and a refugee himself born in Cuba as the son of Holocaust survivors, Mayorkas intuitively understands what America is best and how these values need to be put into practice in our laws, regulations and policies.”
At the start of the Biden-Harris administration, Shari said He told C-SPAN that he believes the new president has “the right ideas, the right vision, the right strategy. What complicates it is that they’re inheriting such a mess from the Trump administration.”
Shortly after Schaly made these comments, the southern and northern borders of the United States began to see a historic increase in illegal immigration that has continued for years.
