Louis Vuitton’s New Makeup Line Sparks Excitement

Everyone seems to be talking about Louis Vuitton these days. Last month marked a significant moment for the brand as it launched its makeup collection for the first time. This new line includes a compact with refillable monogram tubes, along with ultra-soft lipstick, balm, eyeshadow, and a trendy glossy red Soho pop-up store located at 104 Prince St. The boutique was created in collaboration with acclaimed makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath.

McGrath shared her enthusiasm, mentioning, “After being behind the scenes at the Louis Vuitton fashion show for over 20 years, I’m thrilled to have such an important role in bringing La Beauty Louis Vuitton to life, reflecting incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation.”

This collection stands out not only for its elegant design and wide array of shades but also for its comfortable finish. The makeup is infused with a signature scent developed by Master Pepper Mooger Jacques Cavalier Bertoud of Louis Vuitton. The sophisticated packaging, designed by award-winning German industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, features windows shaped like Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram flower that reveal the shades within.

The lipstick line boasts 55 richly pigmented shades, including 27 creamy satin variants that provide 24 hours of hydration, alongside 28 velvety matte options offering 12 hours of vibrant color. For those who prefer softer hues, the balm is available in 10 light glow shades that deliver 48 hours of moisture.

Eyeshadow Quads come in eight distinct color combinations, each beautifully showcased on the Monogram Flower Palette. The lip products are infused with scents of mimosa, jasmine, and rose, while the balm carries delightful notes of mint and raspberry.

Notably, in recognition of its artistic essence, the brand also created a vanity trunk designed to house the products. This portable makeup station draws inspiration from 1920s vanity designs conceived by Gaston Lewis Vuitton, as well as McGrath’s Backstage Beauty Station.

Among the offerings, the LV Mbless Eyeshadow Palette is priced at $250, while the refillable LV Rouge Lipstick retails for $160. There’s also a cosmetic lip pouch, designed to hold one lipstick, available for $605.

Additionally, the brand has introduced a small collection of leather goods that feature the monogram canvas. This limited edition includes a stylish lipstick pouch and a chic beauty case, showcasing three distinct lip shades: monogram rouge, rouge Louis, and soft bliss.

Truly, these products are remarkable in their elegance.
