Alarming Incident at Louisiana Care Center
In a startling video, a woman from Louisiana is seen careening her SUV toward a colleague, who was lying unconscious on the ground, while simply picking up debris.
Lillian Sellers, 67, faced severe backlash on Monday after surveillance footage contradicted her accounts. The colleague’s significant injuries resulted from a fall in the parking lot of the Greenbrier Community Care Center, where both women worked, just the night before.
The unsettling clip depicts Sellers accelerating in reverse, colliding with her colleague before abruptly driving off across the parking lot around 11 PM.
After the incident, the shaky driver parked her vehicle, got out to gather pieces of her damaged bumper, and casually entered the facility, telling others that a woman had simply fallen in the lot.
Employees rushed outside to assist the victim, who was later taken to a nearby hospital. In the hospital, she reported that her serious injuries were the result of being struck by a vehicle rather than a fall.
Witnesses indicated that Sellers’ behavior wasn’t entirely unexpected, despite the shocking nature of the incident.
When approached for comments, Sellers reportedly shrugged, offering no explanation for her actions.
In a subsequent Facebook post, authorities mentioned that shortly before the incident, video footage showed Sellers clocking in then quickly leaving again.
Although the evidence suggested a lack of intent, the investigation is ongoing. Police noted that Sellers seemed aware she had hit someone and attempted to conceal her actions by cleaning up.
As a result of her reckless actions, she has been charged with several offenses, including reckless operation of a vehicle and obstruction of justice for tampering with evidence.
Sellers is currently being held at St. Tammany Parish Prison in Covington.
