LSU narrowly avoids upset when South Carolina misses last-second field goal

Brian Kelly entered the third game of his third season at LSU hoping to avoid the Tigers' second upset loss of the season.

LSU lost its season opener, 20-27, to the USC Trojans on Sept. 1 in Las Vegas.

LSU left Columbia, South Carolina, with a win, but the Tigers needed a second-half comeback and a right-wing kick as time expired to secure the victory over the Gamecocks.

South Carolina got off to a fast start thanks to first-time starters in quarterback Lanoris Sellers and edge rusher Dylan Stewart.
