Alonso, who made headlines when he got an Olympic symbol tattoo on his lower back ahead of the Paris Games, also attracted attention for his behavior outside the pool.

The Paraguayan Olympic Committee said Alonso had been instructed to leave the athletes’ village for creating an “inappropriate” environment within the team.

Alonso later explained that “misinformation” had been widely published about her.

“Her presence creates an inappropriate atmosphere within the Paraguay team,” Larissa Scherer, president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, said in a statement. solarIt was released on August 5th.

“It was of her own free will that she not spend the night in the Olympic Village and we thank her for following instructions.”

Alonso responded in a now-deleted Instagram Story post.

“I just wanted to make it clear that I have not been excluded or expelled from anywhere. Please stop spreading disinformation,” Alonso wrote. According to the Daily Beast.

“I don’t want to say anything, but I’m not going to be swayed by lies either.”

Alonso has reportedly angered Paraguay’s Olympic leadership by not venturing outside the Olympic Village or cheering for the Paraguayan team during the games.

She also shared pictures from her shopping trip to Disneyland in Paris and at luxury stores.

Daily Mail Alonso was reported to have been disruptive to other players with his “revealing clothing and socializing with other players.”

Outlet Added The Paraguayan Olympic Committee took issue with her wearing her own costume rather than the team’s uniform.

Alonso finished sixth in the heats and missed out on a place in the women’s 100m butterfly semi-finals by just 0.24 seconds.

She announced her retirement from the sport on social media after the race.
