Jason Kidd thinks the best thing about the Mavericks so far is still wearing a Dallas uniform.
The Pro Basketball Hall of Fame guard and current Mavericks head coach appeared on 97.1 The Freaks’ “The Downbeat” in Dallas on Tuesday, where his Luka Doncic was a member of Mavericks great Dirk. When asked to clarify that Doncic is better than Nowitzki, even though Kidd hasn’t reached the NBA Finals in his young career, the coach didn’t back down from his assessment.
Not only that, Kidd added, Doncic, 24, has what it takes to win multiple NBA Finals.
“Same thing with MJ,” Kidd said. “MJ didn’t become successful until he was in his 30s. This guy [Doncic] He’s 24 years old and has broken every record in sight. And he’s a winner, and his ultimate goal is to win the championship. And he’ll get there and not just win, but eventually win multiple times. ”
Since entering the NBA, Doncic has been one of the NBA’s elite, winning Rookie of the Year in the 2018-19 season, being named to the All-Star team five years in a row, and most recently being named starter for this year’s event. has just been selected.
