Lydia Ko won the HSBC Women's World Championship for the first time in her career and received a winner's check worth $360,000.
Her prize money from Singapore allowed her to surpass Curry Webb ($20,293,105) on the official career money list. KO has won around $20 million throughout his Hall of Fame career, and is now second on the best money list of all time, following only 10-time major winner Annika Sorenstam.
Sorenstam has won $22,583,693 in her illustrious career, and KO will need to win about $2 million more to surpass Swedish legend. The results are now out of reach of KOs, who are currently in their 12th season with the LPGA and have not shown any signs of slowing down. Meanwhile, Sorenstam retired in 2008 after playing 16 professional seasons.
KO's victory in Singapore came with his first victory in 2025 and his first victory in the Kroger Queen City Championship last September. The New Zealanders and current World No. 3 won the AIG Women's Open at St Andrews a month earlier. Her other victory in 2024 took place at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, held at Lake Nona in Orlando.
Overall, KO has won 23 LPGA events, including three major championships. She also won Player of the Year Awards in 2015 and 2022, and scored titles in 2021 and 2022. Her Olympic profile is also very impressive. KO won gold in Paris in 2024, silver in Rio in 2016 and bronze in Tokyo in 2021.
She has an impressive resume. Your resume continues to improve over time.
