Tragic Loss: Chad Lowe’s Family Mourns Daughter’s Death
Mabel Lowe, the daughter of actor Chad Lowe, is grieving the loss of her younger sister, Fiona. Over the weekend, the 17-year-old shared a poignant post on social media featuring a series of photos of Fiona.
13-year-old Fiona passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles on September 29, according to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office. The official determination indicated that her cause of death was suicide.
“I love you so much, Fiona,” Mabel posted. “I wish your short time here was easier, and I hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you; I hope you knew just how much.” Many friends and family members have expressed their condolences during this heart-wrenching time.
Jeremy Renner reached out, sending heartfelt wishes, “Bless you dear Mabel. My deepest condolences to you and the family.” Jessica Capshaw also commented, “What a beautiful tribute to your sister. I have had you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and I’m sending you all so much love.”
Mabel has received a lot of support, from various friends, including Kimberly Williams Paisley and Selma Blair, who offered their love and prayers.
Fiona was the middle child of Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter. The couple has kept their family life relatively private, away from the Hollywood glare, for nearly two decades.
In a statement provided to the media, the family shared, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.” They expressed how devastating this loss has been for them and requested privacy during this tough time.
They also encouraged anyone who might be struggling with mental health issues to reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Chad Lowe, brother of actor Rob Lowe, is known for his roles in “Life Goes On,” “Pretty Little Liars,” and “9-1-1: Lone Star.” Kim Painter works as a producer and casting professional with credits that include “Enemy of the State,” “Ted Bundy,” and “Instant Dads.”
