Madelyn Burke joins 'SportsCenter' as an anchor after ten years with the Giants

According to reports, sports host Madeleine Burke is set to join ESPN as an anchor for “SportsCenter.”

For the last decade, she has been covering the Giants. Most recently, she worked as a multi-platform host on MSG Network and Giants.com. Burke will commence her role at ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. headquarters in April.

The network is currently finalizing Burke’s schedule.

“This feels like a full-circle moment for me. I interned at ESPN’s production coordination office in Bristol back in college,” Burke shared during an interview. “I also worked as a runner and production assistant for ESPN during the Giants-Patriots game in Super Bowl XLII and the Santonio Holmes catch in Super Bowl XLIII.”

Previously, Burke served as a production assistant for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” and the NBA Finals.

“Nearly 20 years later, it’s surreal to be joining SportsCenter. I’m truly thankful for all the people and opportunities that have led me here,” she reflected. “I remember when I was just starting out as a PA, eager to find my way in the industry. Now, I’m about to step into my dream role.”

Burke, who also hosted CBS Sports Headquarters, announced her departure from the Giants on social media recently.

She was somewhat taken aback by the response to her announcement. “It’s tough to leave. After a decade with the Giants, I’ve created so many memories, friendships, and experiences,” Burke noted.

“Everyone at the organization was incredibly supportive and excited for me when I made my announcement. I didn’t expect such a warm reaction. I want to honor the organization for all it has meant to me and for my growth as a broadcaster.”

“Seeing so many people reach out with their support was heartwarming. It felt gratifying, and I hope to keep making an impact in larger spaces. And, of course, I’ll always have love for the Big Blue fans.”

With the Giants, Burke hosted various shows on the team’s digital platforms and was a part of MSG’s “Giants Postgame Live,” as well as serving as a sideline reporter for WFAN Giants broadcasts.

“Madeline is a versatile and engaging storyteller who brings a sense of authenticity and energy to her work. Her experience and connection with fans across various platforms make her an excellent addition to SportsCenter,” remarked Mike Foss, Senior Vice President of Sports & Studio Entertainment.

Burke, who hails from Los Angeles, has also covered college football and the NBA for several outlets, including the Clippers Beat and Sports Illustrated.
