Madonna Reflects on Struggles and Personal Growth

In a candid recent interview, Madonna opened up about her past struggles, sharing some deeply personal moments, including a time when she contemplated suicide.

During her conversation with Jay Shetty on the “On Wynty” podcast, the iconic singer discussed how her faith has influenced her life, both in the public eye and in private. Despite her involvement with Kabbalah and its teachings, she found that she faced some incredibly tough life lessons. One particularly challenging time was her custody battle with her ex-husband, Richie, regarding their son, Rocco, back in 2016.

“There was a moment in my life where I wanted to cut my arms out,” she shared.

She reflected on the emotional turmoil surrounding the end of her marriage, particularly the fear of losing her child, which became almost unbearable.

“I was actually thinking about suicide,” Madonna admitted. “I know that sounds strange coming from me, but I felt so overwhelmed that I couldn’t bear the pain anymore.”

“Even if my marriage doesn’t work…they are trying to take my children from me, they might just kill me,” she further explained, expressing the depth of her despair.

Madonna recalled the intense emotions she experienced while on tour during the custody battle. “I just lay on the floor in my dressing room and sobbed,” she said. “I really thought it was the end of the world. I couldn’t take it.”

However, she is grateful to no longer feel that way. “Thank God, I don’t feel that way anymore,” she remarked. By working through her pain, she has built a stronger relationship with her son. “In the end, I had to learn some lessons,” she reflected.

Madonna emphasized that her faith helped her face the challenges of her life. “Once you realize what’s happening, you can view it as a challenge to learn and evolve, rather than a punishment,” she concluded.
