Keith Urban Performs Following Divorce from Nicole Kidman
Just days after announcing the end of his almost two-decade marriage to Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban took the stage in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on October 2nd. This marked Kidman’s first concert since Urban filed for divorce.
There was buzz around a performer—Maggie Baugh—who was notably absent during the concert. It remains unclear if she plans to join Urban during this show.
Urban recently caught attention for altering lyrics during a performance of his song “The Fighter,” which was initially penned for Kidman. At a concert in September, he changed the song to include Baugh’s name instead of the typical “Baby.”
Interestingly, Urban has a history of modifying these lyrics. In fact, during a duet of “The Fighter” with Carrie Underwood at the 2017 CMT Music Awards, he switched the name to hers. However, during the recent show on October 2nd, sources reported that Urban omitted the song entirely.
Another highlight of the performance was a photo slideshow that featured pictures of Kidman and their children, despite the recent divorce news. This moment came after Urban shared a personal story about how his parents supported his dreams despite challenges he faced.
During the concert, Urban, who was notably not wearing a wedding ring, seemed energized. However, he put a twist on his breakup anthem “You Think of Me,” changing the lyrics to something quite less appealing.
Kidman, in her divorce filing dated September 30th, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. In the documents, she requested to be the primary custodian of their two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
