Orlando Magic’s Anthony Black Stuns with Incredible Dunk in NBA Germany Game

Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black delivered a jaw-dropping dunk during Thursday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, which marked the NBA’s first regular-season game held in Germany.

As the game entered its final moments, Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. lost the ball in the key area. This mishap sparked a fast break for Orlando, and Black seized the opportunity.

In a remarkable play, Black faced one defender while the other three tried to regroup. He leaped over one of them, soaring to dunk over four players. The excitement was palpable as Orlando’s bench and fans in Berlin erupted in cheers.

This impressive move gave the Magic a 109-107 lead with just 2:24 remaining on the clock. It was part of an 11-2 run that ultimately helped Orlando secure a 118-111 victory.

“I wasn’t even aware there were four defenders in front of me,” Black remarked. “When I looked at the hoop, I noticed a help defender. My teammates pointed that out during the huddle. I just tried to play aggressively.”

Black finished the game with 21 points as Orlando overcame a daunting 20-point deficit. They have now won three out of their last four games.

In addition, Paolo Banchero was a standout with 26 points and 13 rebounds, while Franz Wagner, returning from an ankle injury, contributed 18 points and 13 rebounds. Wagner had been sidelined for over a month but made his return to play in his home country alongside his brother Moritz. Moritz, who is bouncing back from an ACL injury, scored seven points in 14 minutes.

On the other side, Jackson led the Grizzlies with 30 points, while Santi Aldama and Cedric Coward added 18 and 17 points, respectively. Currently, Orlando sits sixth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23 wins and 18 losses. Memphis, meanwhile, is in 10th place in the Western Conference, holding a record of 17 wins and 23 losses.
