Comedian Bill Maher is the latest to offer his opinion on President Biden’s performance at Thursday’s debate.
“It’s okay if you miss it, because I missed one of the contestants,” he joked to the audience on the late-night show “Real Time.”
Maher reiterated his view that Biden will lose the presidential election.
“He’s going to lose. I said that nine months ago and I said that again tonight,” he said. “Now it seems all too clear.”
Maher said on a podcast in early June that Biden would “absolutely lose” in a rematch against former President Donald Trump.
Maher also reiterated his determination to continue voting for Biden if the presidential election were to again come down to a head-to-head between the two presidents.
“As I said before, I’m voting to put his head in a jar of blue liquid,” he said. “After what happened last night, it’s time to get the jar.”
Maher was vocal in his criticism of the presumptive Democratic nominee, but he also lashed out at Republicans.
“Trump told lie after lie. If Joe Biden were here, he would never have been forgiven.”
He also mocked Republican senators’ accusations ahead of the debate that the president was taking performance-enhancing drugs.
Former President Trump promoted the theory earlier this week in a Truth Social post calling for Biden to take a drug test before the debate.
For viewers who tune in to “catch up on the news,” Maher played clips from the debate in which Biden, stumped, concluded that his administration “finally beat Medicare.”
“This is what the Republican Party is going to represent from now until Election Day,” Maher said.
“I say, ‘Fuck off,'” he added.
