Male inmate with history of violence allegedly rapes female cellmate at women’s prison

A man with a violent history who began identifying as a woman after a California law allowed male inmates to be housed in women’s facilities has now been accused of forcibly raping his female cellmate.

Tremaine “Tremaine” Dion Carroll, 51, is a dangerous man. His life of crime began as a teenager in the late 1980s. At 17, he was accused of breaking into an apartment with several men, kidnapping and raping two women, and holding them for ransom.

Carroll was tried as an adult on three counts of kidnapping for ransom, two counts of robbery, and three counts of forcible oral sex.
