Male Violinist Files Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Will Smith

Will Smith Faces Sexual Harassment Case from Touring Violinist

Actor and rapper Will Smith is being sued for sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation by Brian King Joseph, a male violinist who worked with him. The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, claims that Smith engaged in misconduct during their professional relationship.

In documents reviewed by a media outlet, Joseph, who previously appeared on America’s Got Talent, alleges that Smith displayed “predatory behavior” and manipulated him for further sexual exploitation during the 2025 True Story Tour earlier this spring.

The legal action gives insight into the events that unfolded. It is reported that Smith hired Joseph for a performance in San Diego in November 2024 and later invited him to join the tour and contribute to his upcoming album. As their rapport intensified, Smith commented on a “special connection” he felt with Joseph, which he claimed was unique.

Joseph joined the tour’s initial leg in March 2025 for a Las Vegas performance, where arrangements were made for hotel accommodations for the band and staff. He claims that his bag, containing his hotel room key, went missing for several hours. Management eventually located it and returned it to him. Joseph noted that only management had access to the key to his room.

Upon returning that night, he alleged he found someone had entered his room without permission, leaving personal items behind—one of which was a note suggesting a future encounter. Joseph interpreted this as a potential threat, fearing the person would return for sexual purposes.

Just days later, according to the lawsuit, a management member reportedly humiliated him over the incident, terminated his employment, and implied that Joseph had fabricated his story.

Joseph claims that the termination has resulted in PTSD and economic hardships. His lawsuit demands restitution for retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment, with damages to be decided in court.

In response to the allegations, Smith’s attorney firmly denied all claims, labeling them “false, baseless, and reckless.” They emphasized their commitment to using all legal avenues available to counter the allegations and seek the truth.
