'Malibu Joffrey' revealed to be aspiring influencer Austin Perkins

Malibu Incident Sparks Controversy Around Aspiring Influencer

A man from California recently made headlines due to a racist outburst on Malibu Beach during the Fourth of July. This individual, Austin Perkins—who’s also known online as “Malibu Joffrey”—was caught on video losing his cool when family members asked him to gather up the trash he had left on the sand.

In a fit of anger, Perkins, who also goes by “Crunchy Rap Ken,” responded by hurling insults at the family, targeting their looks, sexual orientation, and even their heritage, telling them to “go back to your country.”

The confrontation escalated when he lunged at the person filming, attempting to grab their phone, but soon retreated, continuing to yell insults instead. After he left with his friends, he still harassed the family, leaving behind scattered food packages that they had to clean up themselves.

The California Post pointed out Perkins’s social media presence where he showcases his physique and fitness journey, as well as his admiration for BMW cars.

His online accounts feature a range of fitness influencers and posts concentrating on “looksmax,” masculinity, and gym culture. Many of his shared posts touch on fitness optimization, steroid discussions, and themes prevalent in the so-called “manosphere.”

Some videos shared from his account draw attention to controversial viewpoints on attractiveness and gender dynamics, and one in particular remains popular among “alpha male” circles, reflecting his rants about teenagers and alcohol.

The beach incident has attracted significant backlash across social media platforms since its airing. Many viewers consider Perkins’s behavior a troubling representation of an emerging online environment filled with hypermasculine content and aggressive influencer mentality.

Videos of the altercation depict Perkins growing more aggressive after the trash request, shouting, “Go back to your country, you son of a bitch,” while the family remained composed, calmly asserting their American roots.

Even as Perkins departed, he continued to hurl insults over his shoulder, advising them to “keep supporting Kamala” Harris, and making snide remarks about their circumstances. His tirade lasted several minutes, with the family persistently repeating, “All we ask you to do is pick up the trash.” Ultimately, the family was left to collect the trash, documenting the mess of food that littered the beach.
