MALONEY: I Hate Mail-In Ballots But I Hate Losing More

What do the United States, South Korea, Germany, Canada, Poland, Liechtenstein, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Iceland have in common?

A: These countries are the only ones out of 195 in the world that allow mail-in voting for any reason. While I value America’s uniqueness, I also value its reliability, and the process of mail-in voting raises big questions about the integrity of our elections.

In fact, postal voting Deception is as old as the Civil WarThe problem then wasn’t a flawed signature verification process or the threat of mass voting by illegal immigrants, but that there were still plenty of opportunities for fraud, and plenty of people willing to take advantage of them.

Like many Americans who have a firm grasp on the term “election integrity,” I hope state legislatures across the country will come together on this issue, but four years into the COVID-19 pandemic, no real reform is in sight.

As much as I personally hate voting by mail, there’s one thing I hate even more: losing elections. If America First conservatives want to be competitive in an election that will decide the future of American freedom, they must compete by the current rules.

This means going head-to-head with the Democrats on mail-in voting.

The 2020 election was close, despite Democrats having an astronomical advantage over Republicans in mail-in voting — Trump lost to Biden in Pennsylvania by about 80,000 votes — but a closer look at the mail-in voting numbers raises some big questions.

Biden: 1,995,691 | 77 percent

Trump: 595,538 | 23 percent

You read that correctly. Trump was over 1.4 million votes short going into Election Day, a margin that is nearly impossible to overcome, even though Trump nearly won. And things haven’t gotten any better, with Republicans receiving just 20% of the total mail-in votes since 2020.

But there’s good news for patriots who want to win in Pennsylvania: There are roughly 1 million pro-Trump voters in the state who didn’t vote in 2020.

These so-called low propensity voters are key to Trump’s victory in 2024. Democrats know that people are much more likely to vote if there’s a ballot on their table. We need to counter their tactics by fighting fire with fire.

It’s fun to talk about Republicans sweeping the South Bronx and New Jersey, but insiders know that November will be decided in five states: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia and Arizona.

Democrats have had great success since the rules on voting by mail were relaxed, and mainstream Republicans have refused to look at themselves. But now that’s about to change.

Citizens Alliance (my organization) and partners like Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point Action and Scott Presler’s Early Vote Action are going door-to-door right now to lay the groundwork for a Republican victory in November.

In Pennsylvania, he launched the Pennsylvania Chase campaign to reclaim his home state and crush the Communists within the Democratic Party.

What’s even more incredible is that President Trump himself has touted mail-in voting and ballot tracking as the key to winning a victory that is “so big it can’t be tampered with.”

Vote Tracker is a data-driven effort that targets mail-in voters, independents and low propensity voters and relentlessly engages with them until the job is done. The fact that there were 1 million in-line voters who did not vote in 2020 is inexcusable. Sure, it’s easy to blame the voters. But we, as community organizers, need to step up and do the kind of work that Democrats are doing.

This opportunity is why we are all working on Pennsylvania Chase.

The goal is simple but not easy: Increase the Republican share of Pennsylvania’s mail-in votes from 20 percent to 33 percent.

To reach that goal, we will deploy 120 full-time, paid ballot trackers to knock on 500,000 doors across Pennsylvania.

Democrats lobbied while Republicans slept and literally created today’s election climate, but we can still turn the tide.

It’s time to win again. home page.
