Manhattan DA Bragg’s Assistant Robbed by Venezuelan Gang Member

One of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's prosecutors was reportedly attacked and robbed in her apartment by a Venezuelan immigrant with ties to the dangerous Tren de Aragua gang. .

New York City police arrested Brandon Simosa (also known as Brandon Jesus Simosa Seijas) on Tuesday outside the Lowe Hotel, an immigrant shelter in midtown Manhattan, on suspicion of robbing Mr. Bragg, an employee of Mr. Bragg. was indicted. new york post Reported.

According to a police report, a deputy caught Simosa, 25, masturbating in the hallway of his apartment building and assaulted him when he confronted him. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday.

Simosa fled the 44th Street apartment with the prosecutor's cell phone, which police tracked to an immigrant shelter.

The immigrant was charged with robbery with sexual intent, grand larceny and possession of stolen property, police said.

Police do not know the suspect's recent history, when he came to New York City or where he lives. The only address reported was a taxpayer-funded immigrant shelter in Queens. However, federal records show he entered the United States in October 2023 in Eagle Pass, Texas.

According to federal records, he was detained by ICE upon entering the country, but was quickly released after being notified to appear before an immigration judge in New York City. He was scheduled to be deported, but federal authorities dismissed the case in February without explanation.

Despite the deportation order being revoked, Simosa also has amassed a lengthy arrest record in New York City. He has been arrested for assault, grand larceny, robbery, retail theft, and even a traffic accident.

Some of his cases include an arrest for an incident at a Times Square CVS on Nov. 11, an arrest for grand theft at a Macy's store on Aug. 5, and a robbery at a Flushing supermarket on June 13. It is still unresolved.

The Manhattan prosecutor is a far-left Democratic prosecutor who tried to prosecute President-elect Donald Trump. The former president called for the Manhattan DA's office's indictment in Bragg's business records case against Trump to be “immediately dismissed.”

Mr. Bragg has also been criticized for prosecuting Daniel Penny, a Marine Corps veteran who is prosecuting the death of Jordan Neely, a homeless man who threatened subway passengers.

To many, Penny is an American hero worthy of praise for defending people from a dangerous man who threatened to kill them.
