The only “person of interest'' in a missing person case that took place about two years ago has disappeared.
Xavier Breland, the estranged husband of Sierra Breland, who disappeared in February 2022, failed to appear in court in Hamilton County, Indiana, on unrelated gun charges in late December.
With law enforcement tracking his whereabouts, the presiding judge issued a warrant for his re-arrest and canceled a jury trial scheduled for Jan. 8, according to court documents.
Breland's attorney did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Xavier returned to Indiana, but there is no evidence Sierra returned with him, Xavier has not been charged in connection with her disappearance, and her body has never been found, the FBI said.
Sierra's mother, Kelly Locklair, told Fox News Digital in a March interview that her daughter was “scared” of Xavier, who was cleared of stalking and weapons charges in a separate criminal case.

Xavier's jury trial on the weapons charge has been postponed three times since June 12, 2023, according to court documents.
The warrant request from the Hamitron County Sheriff's Office was referred to the Carmel Police Department, which received the original missing persons report.

Carmel police did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Sierra's mother said in a previous interview that she and her husband “knew” her daughter was dead after police reported her missing but that her baby was safe. .
“She's definitely gone,” Locklair said. “That was the first thing my husband said when[Xavier]filed a missing person's report and the police called. They said she left without the baby. She didn't even take a shower. I didn't want anyone else to see the baby.”

Locklair believes her daughter's body could be somewhere in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky or Indiana.
