Many Green Candidates Under Investigation for Suspected Antisemitism

Investigation into Green Party Candidates for Anti-Semitism

The Green Party is currently looking into more than 30 of its local council candidates amid accusations of anti-Semitism, as the multicultural left grapples with a series of scandals that have slowed its momentum.

Reportedly, this situation was highlighted when Green parliamentary candidates Saika Ali and Sabine Meiri were arrested for allegedly “inciting racial hatred” due to their anti-Semitic posts on social media.

The left-leaning Labor Party, which has lost some supporters to the more radical Green Party, has compiled a dossier featuring troubling social media posts from 25 Green Party members. These posts reportedly contain a range of offensive comments, conspiracy theories, and endorsements of Hamas.

Adding to the controversy, Zach Polanski, the party leader who openly supports the Muslim vote in Britain, liked a post suggesting that Starmer was financially influenced by Israel and wealthy Jews.

Following a recent anti-Semitic mass stabbing in London’s Golders Green, Polanski found himself under fire for sharing a post that alleged a Metropolitan Police officer was violently assaulting a mentally ill individual while attempting to subdue the attacker. This drew sharp criticism from Metropolitan Police Chief Mark Rowley, who labeled the commentary as “inaccurate and misinformed,” highlighting the officers’ commendable actions during the incident.

Despite this backlash, Polanski’s popularity seems to have increased. After the Golders Green incident, his favorability rating jumped significantly from 22% to 47%, according to a recent investigation.

In light of these events, Prime Minister Starmer has come under pressure, condemning the Green Party leadership. He remarked that it is disgraceful for figures like Polanski to intervene in such situations, indicating a lack of fitness for political leadership.

The examination of leadership within the Green Party continues. A report stated that Polanski had previously misrepresented himself as a spokesperson for the British Red Cross during his run for leadership in 2022.

In a recent appearance on the BBC’s Today program, just before local elections, Polanski acknowledged that he had “used the wrong words” regarding his role at the Red Cross, which mainly involved hosting charity fundraisers.

Polanski’s past has drawn scrutiny from critics and tabloids alike. He has allegedly made bizarre claims, such as the ability to increase women’s breast sizes through hypnosis. While he contends that he was “misrepresented,” a past interview suggested he believed “anecdotal evidence” supported such claims.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage chimed in on the latest scandal, poking fun at Polanski and dubbing him a “fantasist.”
