Texas A&M’s Season Summary
Texas A&M wrapped up their regular season with a disappointing loss to Texas, but still secured 11 wins and qualified for the College Football Playoff. They’ll face the Miami Hurricanes soon in the playoffs.
Marcell Reed, the standout quarterback, had an impressive season, tossing 25 touchdowns and nearing 3,000 passing yards. His performance has positioned him as one of the top players in the nation, which has led to questions about whether he might contemplate moving to another school after their playoff journey.
In a recent podcast with former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, Reed dismissed the notion of transferring to Miami for a lucrative NIL deal. When asked if he’d consider changing schools, he noted, “I’ll have to talk to the parents. That’s the real answer.”
Reed insisted that although he has had chances to leave Texas A&M, his commitment to the Aggies hasn’t wavered. He mentioned, “I received an offer after my freshman year. I genuinely believe this is the best place for me. There isn’t really a reason to leave Texas A&M. My coaches are fantastic, and I have great teammates. Plus, our stadium is the best in college football. Why would I want to go elsewhere?”
Unfortunately, the late season defeat against the Longhorns kept Texas A&M out of the SEC Championship Game, allowing Alabama to advance, only to lose against Georgia.
