Marco Rubio Cancels 83% of USAID Programs

83% of programs directly funded and administered by the United States Organization for International Development (USAID) were cancelled Monday by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Rubio took me to social media Let's announce The latest step in the Trump administration's efforts to cleanse deep nations from government agencies.

The decision came after a six-week review of the program, and Rubio set out after cited their funding as conflicting with core US interests.

After six weeks of review, we officially cancel 83% of USAID's programs.

The now-cancelled 5,200 contracts spent hundreds of billions of dollars in ways that are (and sometimes unharmed) in the core US national interests.

In consultation with Congress, the remaining 18% (approximately 1,000) of the programs we maintain are intended to be more effectively managed under the State Department.

Thank you to Doge and the hardworking staff who spent so much time achieving this late historical reform.

The Trump administration last month placed USAID direct employment staff on vacation while others were fired or placed on “administrative leave,” as reported by Breitbart News last month.

Employees were also notified that USAID is “initiating a reduction in its power to eliminate 2,000 US-based jobs,” which was later reported to have reportedly affected the job by 1,600 employees.

The results of that review are currently being delivered.

Layoffs of thousands of employees from USAID have determined that a Trump-appointed judge believes the Trump administration needs to “place thousands of workers on leave to consider US-supported foreign aid,” and they say Allowed To do that.

In 2023, USAID paid $72 billion in aid worldwide, courtesy of funds provided by US taxpayers from creating gender-affirming healthcare in Guatemala, internet trolls to people in Kazakhstan, and Yamand workplace opportunities to combat voluntary men's discounts in Mozambique.

US taxpayers have been fighting drug cartels that have sent over $3 billion to Mexico since 2008 and have mercilessly flooded the country with illegal drugs, including fentanyl.

As reported by Breitbart News, despite the infusion of US taxes injected into Mexico through USAID, the cartels are not weakened, they are stronger.
