Marcus Jordan says he has substance abuse issues after DUI arrest

Marcus Jordan says he has a drug abuse problem following the arrest of Florida DUI last month.

In court applications obtained by multiple outlets, Jordanian lawyers asked the court to allow his client to enter a substance abuse program and added that if the judge grants the claim, he would waive the right to speedy trial.

Part of the filing stated that former NBA superstar Michael Jordan's son “recognizes that he needs help to overcome his alcohol/substance use challenges and is suitable for treatment.” People reported.

“Jordan is dedicated to becoming a responsible, drug-free, productive member of the community,” continues Filing. “His participation in pre-trial substance abuse education and treatment intervention programs will not only benefit him personally, but will benefit the community by reducing the likelihood of future crime.”
