Margot Robbie Filming in Saint-Tropez
Margot Robbie was recently seen donning a blue bikini while filming her latest movie. The actress, 36, was photographed in a 1960s-inspired bikini top paired with high-waisted bottoms during her shoot in Saint-Tropez, France, alongside Bradley Cooper.
In some images, she is shown standing in the ocean and strolling along the beach. Others capture casual behind-the-scenes moments with Cooper as they review their script together. The pair is shooting a prequel to the classic 2001 heist comedy “Ocean’s Eleven,” which originally starred the likes of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts.
This prequel centers around the parents of Danny Ocean, with Robbie and Cooper portraying the roles, as they plan a heist during the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.
“Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows — his parents,” Robbie shared at CinemaCon in July. “You’ll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.”
The film also stars Academy Award-nominated actor Wagner Moura, Josh Gad, and Academy Award-nominated actress Monica Barbaro. Cooper takes on dual roles as director and writer, while Robbie’s own production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, is producing the film along with her husband, Tom Ackerley.
Robbie’s journey began on the Australian TV series “Neighbors,” but her breakout role came in 2013’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” where she starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Since then, she has maintained a steady presence in Hollywood. However, she recently expressed to Variety that her perspective on the industry has evolved over time.
“Earlier in my career, I’d speak more freely in interviews. I’ve just been burnt so many times, when people have taken what I’ve said out of context. And I read stuff all the time where people put me in quotation marks saying things I’ve never said,” she reflected on her experiences.
There’s a sense of vulnerability in her journey—it’s like she had to learn the hard way, accepting the reality of how her words could be misinterpreted. Yet, she seems to have grown from it, learning to set boundaries as life changes.
After welcoming her son in October 2024, Robbie has prioritized privacy around her family. She acknowledges that entering motherhood shifted her viewpoint: “When you shift from your 20s to your 30s and beyond, you think, ‘I am going to do things differently. Here are my new boundaries.'” The couple has opted to keep details about their child out of the public eye, including the child’s name and photos.
