Marjorie Taylor Greene to Appear on “The View” Post-Congress

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia is set to return to “The View” as part of her media tour. ABC’s popular talk show confirmed on Friday that she will make an appearance on January 7, just two days after leaving Congress.

Greene, who transitioned from being a firm supporter of President Donald Trump to one of his more critical voices, had a cordial exchange with the show’s hosts during her last appearance last month. She commented positively on their discussions, stating, “I think we’re all doing a great job of sharing our ideas in a professional and kind way. We definitely need more of that in America.”

Co-host Joy Behar seemed taken aback by Greene’s increasing discontent with Trump and jokingly suggested she consider switching party sides. “Marjorie, maybe you should become a Democrat,” Behar said. Greene promptly dismissed the idea, saying, “I’m not a Democrat. I think both sides failed.”

Recently, Greene also appeared on “60 Minutes,” marking her first interview since announcing her resignation from Congress. In a response to her interview, Trump launched a scathing critique of CBS News and its parent company, claiming, “they are no better than the old ownership.” He voiced dissatisfaction with the current direction of “60 Minutes.”

This past year, Greene has generated considerable attention for her pointed critiques regarding Trump’s administration, particularly on issues like the Jeffrey Epstein case, healthcare, and foreign policy.

There’s been speculation regarding a rift between Greene and Trump, fueled by claims suggesting she had discouraged him from pursuing a Senate run in 2026, as polls indicated potential challenges against Democratic incumbent Senator Jon Ossoff. Greene has refuted these allegations.

In her resignation announcement, Greene expressed growing frustration with Washington’s political landscape, citing a “corrupt political complex” that she claims treats Americans as “pawns in a never-ending game of division.”

She noted, “With each election, Americans are exploited by both parties, trying to get us to hate the other side more. It always ends the same: things don’t improve for the average person.”

This announcement came shortly after Trump distanced himself from Greene, labeling her as “bizarre” and “an abusive lunatic.”
