Although she is known for being one of the most outspoken flamethrower in Congress and frequently engaging in culture wars, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) He says there is one hot topic that he “doesn’t really care about.” It’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey.
“Do you want to know anything? I’m not really interested in that discussion or that whole thing,” Green told The Hill’s Kevin Cirilli when asked about the power couple in an interview Tuesday.
“I really don’t care about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” she added.
The “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end are stealing headlines with their stellar pairing.
Green said he tuned in to watch the Chiefs defeat the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game to clinch a Super Bowl berth, but after the win, the Swifts announced that they had signed up for M&T Bank. -I wasn’t focused on cheering for Kelsey on the field at the stadium.
“When you’re watching football, you’re just watching,” Green said.
The congressman clearly wasn’t trying to stir up controversy when asked whether he’d be rooting for the Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on February 11.
“I’m really fair. I’m more of a college football fan,” Green said with a laugh. “I’m a Georgia Bulldog at heart.”
And when asked if the Super Bowl was rigged (a conspiracy theory recently floated by former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy), Greene replied, “I definitely hope not.” .
“It would be terrible,” she said.
