Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James ComerR-Ky., provided highlights from Hunter Biden's surprise appearance at his contempt of Congress hearing.
He told Fox News that a pivotal point in the hearing was when Biden, who had entered with attorneys Abby Lowell and Kevin Morris, suddenly stood up and gave the microphone to Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. He said he left the room the moment he was handed it.
Comer told “The Ingraham Angle” that while some Democrats have claimed the appearance was a publicity stunt for Biden, the commentary said otherwise.
“He was there for about 15 minutes. [Florida Democrat Jared] Moskowitz was recognized. He said, 'Hunter Biden is here to answer questions,' and then his time was up,” Comer said.

“I recognized Marjorie Taylor Greene. She was going to ask Hunter Biden a question because Moskowitz said Marjorie Taylor Greene would be there to answer questions. As soon as they realized Marjorie Taylor Greene was going to ask them a question, they ran out of there. They flipped out.'' People walking out the door. ”
“Excuse me, Mr. Hunter, it looks like you're afraid of my words,” Greene said as Biden and his lawyer left.
Comer said the episode shows that Biden was not actually present at the hearing and answering questions, and that Biden was trying to show “the arrogance and entitlement that he's earned all his life.” Said this is another example of will.
“Look, this is an investigation into Joe Biden. It's about what his family did to receive millions of dollars from enemies around the world. And in a deposition, he asked Hunter Biden, There's just a simple question that needs to be asked,” Comer said. .

Afterward, another Republican attending the hearing, South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace, told “Jesse Watters Prime Time” that Greene wasn't the only one who was obstructed.
Mace said he was interrupted by Democrats on stage when his time to speak came before Moskowitz's.
She said she is “the only Republican who can get support.” [Biden] On”, after the unexpected appearance of her eldest son in her time.
”[I]If this was one of the millions of viewers who ignored Congressional subpoenas, showed up, never came before us, never gave a deposition, spit in Congress' face, and walked away. You’ll be held in contempt of Congress…and you’ll go to jail,” Mace said.
Mace contrasted Biden's actions with those of his former eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., who spent hours in a deposition in the Democratic-controlled Congress.
“Because Donald Trump and his entire family abide by the laws of this country, and that's what we're all about. [It’s] It’s complete hypocrisy,” she said.
