Marjorie Taylor Greene receives uncommon recognition from CNN and 'The View' hosts

Unlikely Praise for Marjorie Taylor Greene

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has, surprisingly, gained some acknowledgment from unexpected sources. Both CNN and “The View” offered her some praise recently, which is quite the contrast to her usual relationship with the media.

During the discussion, co-host Whoopi Goldberg noted, “It seems like she’s the only one who’s responding to her constituents, because her constituents are saying, ‘Sorry, we’re affected by what’s going on here.’ And you know, she’s not in a wealthy district. She’s in a poor district, and her people are saying this is affecting us. Either get us help or we’ll kick you out.” Goldberg went on to emphasize that Greene seems to represent a voice of reason in a confusing political landscape.

Greene has reportedly called for both Republicans and Democrats to set aside their differences and get the government back to work, supporting Democratic efforts to extend Obamacare subsidies.

Co-host Joy Behar was also seen agreeing, saying, “I’ll take it.” Meanwhile, another, Alyssa Farrar Griffin, remarked that it was a “dark day” given that Greene seemed to be taking the lead on issues that seemed essential.

Greene articulated her concerns about tax credit expirations impacting her constituents, saying, “I’m not towing party lines or playing loyalty games on this matter.” She expressed frustration about high insurance premiums that would double for families, including her own.

In response to the ongoing government shutdown, Greene told CNN that such situations don’t benefit Republicans. She elaborated, stating, “I don’t think it’s good advice that a government shutdown will give Republicans an advantage in the midterm elections.” Greene expressed a desire instead to focus on American priorities.

Interestingly, Greene has also expressed confusion regarding the Epstein documents, stressing the importance of transparency. She focused on the severity of the issues involved, saying, “I don’t know how anyone in good conscience could object to releasing that information.”

At the conclusion of their conversation, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer remarked on Greene’s dual roles, both as a politician and a mother, calling her “courageous” and “loving.”
