Mark Andrews saves woman’s life on plane: ‘Truly amazing’

Ravens star Mark Andrews is being hailed as a hero after helping a woman who had a medical emergency.

Andrews knows this all too well as a type 1 diabetic, and as a professional athlete he has to check his blood sugar levels every time he leaves the field.

“When your blood sugar gets a little high, you have to give insulin to bring it down. When you’re low, you take sugar. Gatorade, things like that.” he said this This season’s sideline video.

Mr Springs said paramedics were on the scene when the plane landed, but Mr Andrews left peacefully.

“There’s no fanfare. Throughout his career, he stepped up in big moments when people needed him the most. It’s really amazing to see strangers take action to save someone’s life. ” his post concluded.

More than two hours after Springs’ post, Andrews released a statement through the Ravens confirming the incident.

“Aside from the agile flight attendants, the real heroes were the nurses and doctors who happened to be on board the plane.” He said. “Thankfully, they were able to quickly get the woman the help she needed.”

according to GQ interviewMr Andrews was diagnosed at the age of nine while on his way to a soccer tournament with his parents, who were “deadly afraid” of him.

He recalled that his blood sugar level was around 400 on the way to the tournament, but he actually played in the first game after receiving the news and scored three goals.

“I’ve always been the guy that just goes out there and attacks,” he said. “Think about ‘Why me? Why did I get this?’ When you think about that, you’re thinking about things that are out of your control. I like to control the controllable and attack the attackable, and I’m going to be better, I’m going to do something positive, and don’t get hung up on what I can do. I try to approach each day with a positive mindset and it hasn’t changed.”

Andrews injured his left ankle in a game against the Bengals late in the regular season, but returned in time for the Ravens’ AFC Championship game against the Chiefs, who lost 17-10 and missed out on a spot in the Super Bowl.

Andrews caught two passes for 15 yards in the game.
