Mark Andrews Stays with the Ravens

Mark Andrews has signed a three-year extension with the Baltimore Ravens, which was confirmed on Wednesday. The deal is worth $39.3 million, with $26 million guaranteed for the three-time Pro Bowler.

At 30 years old, Andrews was set to hit free agency this offseason, making this contract important for both him and the team.

“Mark has always been a Raven, a top competitor, a Pro Bowl tight end, and a valued member of the Baltimore community,” noted Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta in a statement.

Andrews was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he’s consistently been among the elite tight ends in the league. In fact, he holds the franchise record for receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns.

On Thanksgiving, he became the Ravens’ all-time receptions leader during a tough loss against the Bengals, catching four passes. Reflecting on his time with the team, Andrews said, “I just keep doing my job. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of such a great organization and to grow with some fantastic players.”

This season, he has played in 12 games, leading the team in receiving touchdowns (5) while ranking second in both receptions (37) and receiving yards (332).

In light of the Ravens’ challenging season (currently at 6-6), they’ll face the Steelers (also 6-6) in a crucial AFC North matchup this weekend.

Interestingly, this new deal comes just days after Andrews proposed to his girlfriend, Elena Yates, following Thursday’s game. The couple began their relationship in 2023 and shared their engagement news on Instagram, with Andrews expressing, “I love you forever.”
