Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban Fox News news network and Elon Musk's social platform X (formerly Twitter).

The “Shark Tank” business mogul also said he was interested but couldn't afford to buy either company, reiterating that he would buy the network “in a heartbeat” if he had the funds.
Cuban also estimated that it would cost between $15 billion and $20 billion to buy the network and make the necessary “changes.”
“You have to pay at least a 50 percent premium, so $22 billion, and then you have to make all the changes, so another $2 billion,” he continued. “You can sell some, so you might get a net proceeds of $15 billion or $20 billion. You don't have $15 billion or $20 billion in cash sitting around.”
Cuban also coined the term “Fox News generation” to refer to baby boomers, bitterly claiming that this particular generation went from being all about “sex, drugs and rock and roll” to “condemning Black Lives Matter and flocking to Fox News.”
He added: “I'm very upset. You wouldn't understand.”
Additionally, Cuban, who has a 2024 net worth of $5.7 billion, similarly said he would be interested in buying Elon Musk's social platform X (Twitter) if he had the cash to spare.
X is currently valued at $20 billion, an amount even Cuba cannot afford.
“I wish I could,” Cuban said of buying X. “There's no reason for him to sell it.”
Musk and Cuban have clashed on multiple occasions over X.
Cuban has accused the X social platform of skew its algorithm to suit Musk's preferred political leanings after the 2022 acquisition, but ironically, that was happening long before Musk took over. But it wasn't conservative ideals that were pushed to the forefront of the algorithm, but left-wing ideals and Democratic voices. Many prominent conservative leaders, even former President Donald Trump, were booted off Twitter for reasons that former owner Jack Dorsey now conveniently admits were wrong.
“A permanent ban would be a failure on our part and would be ineffective,” Dorsey said in 2022, walking back earlier statements in which he said Trump's Twitter ban was necessary at the time. “It was a business decision and it shouldn't have been made. We should always review our decisions and evolve as necessary.”
Cuban went on to try to solidify his claim that Musk had instilled an “inherent bias” in the X community.
“If you interact or debate with 'right-wing' accounts, which Cuban does a lot, the algorithm will assume you want to do so and make you do it more. Lol.” [laugh my a** off]” Musk replied.
Cuban added: “Whoever controls the algorithm controls the platform, which means they control the world, they control the community. And Elon, X, has built a very powerful right-wing community.”
