The congratulations came as a surprise to many, given Cuban's past criticism of Trump and involvement in the Harris campaign. Days earlier, Cuban faced backlash after appearing on ABC's “The View” and claiming that President Trump doesn't have “strong, intelligent women” around him. The billionaire quickly sought to clarify his remarks, saying he was referring to why Nikki Haley, a prominent Republican figure, was not actively involved in the Trump campaign.
Mr. Cuban apologized for his comments, acknowledged that he was wrong, and stressed that he did not intend to make any negative comments about Trump supporters. He said his wife, Tiffany Stewart, watched the entire interview and understood the context of his comments.
