Mark Cuban on Tim Walz: He ‘can make you feel like you have [known] him forever’

Business investor and television personality Mark Cuban has high praise for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), who was announced Monday as Harris’ running mate.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Waltz, an entrepreneur and reality TV panelist, praised Silicon Valley’s bigwigs for their approachability as they draw lines over the November election.

“People are tired of the ideology and hatred of both parties. They want to vote for someone they can relate to. Walz is sitting at his kitchen table, feeling like he’s [known] I love him forever,” he wrote. Online on Tuesday morning.

Cuban downplayed Walz’s low name recognition and drew comparisons to Harris as Walz’s profile among Democrats has grown in recent weeks.

” [Tim Walz] “I think those who don’t like the choice are missing the lesson learned from the Harris transition, which went from worst to best as people got to know her. It’s not unreasonable to think the same will happen with Walz,” he said.

Other big names in the tech industry have also recently voiced their support for Harris.

Amid reports that former President Trump was making progress in courting Silicon Valley investors, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and more than 100 venture capitalists endorsed Vice President Harris in late July.

Trump has secured the support of leading tech industry figures and former Democratic donors, including Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, venture capitalist Sean Maguire and technology adviser Jacob Helberg.

Regulation of cryptocurrencies has become a hot topic in Silicon Valley, with the Biden administration taking a skeptical view of digital assets.

Cuban said Tuesday that personal empathy has become a critical skill, reflecting an increasingly polarized political debate in the United States.

“Now that’s an incredible skill,” he wrote.
