Robinson received support over the weekend from former President Donald Trump, who called him “Martin Luther King Jr. on steroids,” but also thanked his supporters for their work and dedication.
“We are forever grateful to Jesus Christ for giving us life, health, strength, and allowing us to live in such a blessed and rich land. Mr. Stein, a longtime figure in North Carolina politics, was endorsed by Mr. Cooper.
“We have to keep our eyes peeled for the stakes in this election,” Stein told Lowry supporters. “We are at a crossroads, with the choice before us of his two conflicting visions for North Carolina.”

Mr. Robinson contrasted himself with Mr. Stein in his remarks Tuesday night.
