Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will co-host a black-tie reception to celebrate the Republican victory on January 20th after President-elect Trump's inauguration.
The tech giant is joined by Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta, who is set to become the new U.S. ambassador to Italy, former Republican National Committee finance chair Todd Ricketts and his wife Sylvie Legere, and the Republican Party's largesse. The event was organized in collaboration with donor Miriam Adelson. According to an invitation obtained by NewsNation.
The soirée is scheduled to last three and a half hours from 6:30 to 10 p.m., ahead of the evening's inaugural ball in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Zuckerberg recently attended a series of meetings with President Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort, donated $1 million to the startup fund and quickly ended Meta's fact-checking program.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also plans to attend the 60th inauguration after donating $1 million to the ceremony.
