Tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg has shown his love for his wife, Priscilla Chan, by gifting her a giant sculpture of her likeness in a tribute to her Roman heritage.
“Reviving the Roman tradition of making a sculpture of your wife,” Zuckerberg, 40, captioned the post. Instagram On Tuesday, he posted a photo of his wife standing in their garden next to the massive, meticulously detailed creation.
Chan, 39, stood next to the giant turquoise statue in a pink robe, her silver garment billowing in the wind to resemble angel wings, as she drank from a mug that complemented the sculpture’s vibrant blue colors.
The Facebook founder revealed that he commissioned Daniel Arsham, a world-renowned sculptor and artist known for his collaborations with brands such as Tiffany & Co. and Pokémon, to create the piece.
“I’d been joking about making a sculpture of her for years, and when the opportunity to work with Arsham came up, we finally made it happen!” Zuckerberg said.

The photo has garnered more than 170,000 likes since Tuesday morning, with many praising Zuckerberg for giving his wife the thoughtful gift.
“Husbands all over the world are shaking,” commented one Instagram user.
“Markipoo you’ve set the bar high for all husbands out there,” another wrote.
“I was just about to buy the same for my wife. I need to change course,” joked another.
The tradition of sculpting women, especially wives, was based on the Roman ideal of “pietas,” which emphasized duty, loyalty and devotion to family, God and country. Roman Empire.
The media reported that sculptures of wives often represent the embodiment of these virtues, publicly demonstrating their “moral integrity, fertility and loyalty to their husband and family.”

The price of the work is being kept secret between Zuckerberg and Arsham.
The billionaire couple first met at a college party while they were both students at Harvard in 2003.
The couple married in an outdoor ceremony at their Palo Alto, California, home in May 2012, three years before their first child, Máxima, was born. They later welcomed daughters August and Aurelia into the world.
Last month, Zuckerberg and Chan were spotted admiring Indian billionaire Anant Ambani’s $1 million watch at a lavish pre-wedding party in Jamnagar this weekend.
