Mark Zuckerberg’s Wealth Soars Past $200 Billion

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta and notorious left-wing advocate, is now one of only three people in the world to have amassed a net worth of more than $200 billion.

Business Insider Report The incredible surge in wealth has propelled Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg into the ultra-exclusive $200 billion club, making him the latest member of an elite group that previously only included Tesla's Elon Musk and Amazon's Jeff Bezos.

Zuckerberg's sudden rise in wealth is due to the phenomenal performance of his Meta stock, which has surged nearly 60% since the beginning of the year. As a result, Zuckerberg's net worth is set to increase by $72 billion in 2024, bringing his total wealth to a staggering $200 billion.

Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos has also reclaimed his place in the $200 billion club as his net worth has increased by $39 billion, now standing at $216 billion. This comeback is largely due to the impressive performance of Amazon's stock price, which is expected to rise about 28% in 2024 and is approaching record levels of over $190 per share.

Elon Musk, whose fortune was worth $229 billion at the beginning of the year, has grown by another $36 billion in just nine months, reaching $265 billion as of the market's close on Monday.

Not in the $200 billion club is LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, whose net worth exceeded $200 billion earlier this year but has since fallen by $30 billion to $177 billion, mostly due to a nearly 16% drop in LVMH shares this year.

The frenzy around artificial intelligence has played a major role in the accumulation of wealth for Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. Investors are betting big on these tech giants' ability to leverage AI to revolutionize their respective industries. From Tesla's self-driving cars and humanoid robots, to Amazon's cloud services and e-commerce benefits, Meta's advances in social media and digital communications, to the possibility of renting out Oracle's AI data center capacity, the market is bullish on AI's transformative power.

Meta's AI shows the left-wing bias of Zuckerberg and his company: As Breitbart News previously reported, the chatbot praises Kamala Harris while calling Donald Trump “lazy and rude.”

As first documented by The Federalist, when asked “Why should you vote for Donald Trump?” the chatbot warned that the Republican candidate had been criticized as “rude and selfish” or “crude and lazy,” and that his administration had been accused of “undermining the right to vote and potentially promoting voter suppression.” This negative assessment of the former president stood in sharp contrast to the AI's glowing assessment of Vice President Kamala Harris.

When The Washington Post posed the question, “Why should you vote for Kamala Harris?”, the chatbot offered several “compelling reasons” to support the Democratic presidential candidate. The chatbot praised her “trailblazing leadership” as the first Black and South Asian vice president, highlighted her “record job creation and low unemployment rate,” and praised her support for rent relief and voting rights. “By voting for Kamala Harris, you're supporting a leader dedicated to fighting for the rights and freedoms of all Americans,” the AI assistant concluded.

Breitbart News also reported that Zuckerberg said it was time to end apologizing for his company's censorship of conservatives.

The Facebook founder, who has spent a long time apologizing for the platform's content moderation issues and censorship of conservatives, reflected on the biggest mistake of his career, naming “20 years of political miscalculation” as his biggest mistake, suggesting that Facebook took too much responsibility for issues outside of its control.

“I think some of the things that they've been claiming that we're doing or that we're responsible for aren't actually the case,” Zuckerberg said. “When it comes to the politics of it… there are well-intentioned people who want to identify the problem and want to solve it, and there are also people who are just looking to blame somebody.”

Zuckerberg maintains that he strikes the right balance on political issues: In August, he wrote a letter to House Republicans apologizing for censoring information about the coronavirus in 2020 and caving to the demands of the Biden administration. He regretted not being more vocal about government pressure at the time and vowed to “fight back” if a similar situation arises in the future.
