The married Indiana teacher allegedly sexually abused several students and sent her an explicit photo of her adult toy and stripper Paul. Officials blamed the twisted perversion of her 150-pound weight loss.
Brittany Fortinberry, 31, a math teacher at the Eminence Community School, was hit with several sexual charges, including having sex with a 15-year-old student several times, according to court documents. Obtained by WRTV.
The boy said “it was child abuse and he said he was there because he didn't want her to abuse more children,” the document said.
The victim told detectives that Fortinberry started by sending him nude photos on Snapchat. He then had sex with him several times, including when he took her to a French town 70 miles away.
He claimed that the teacher gave him drugs and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
The boy claims there are up to 10 other students who are “thinking about what happened,” and “other people who don't want to talk about it,” he told officers.
The boy came out in December. Four months after Fortinberry was fired, she said she sent indecent images to at least two other students, and nude and stripper poles like stripper poles at home. According to Fox 59.
Officers searching her home found items that match what was described, court documents said.
Interviewed about the initial allegations, Fortinberry told police he regretted losing 150 pounds.
According to a statement from the Eminence Community Schools Corporation, about 35 miles south of Indianapolis, Fortinbury was “quickly stopped” when the allegations were first made. She resigned the next day.
Fortinberry is accused of contributing to minors and sexual misconduct, the spread of harmful issues to minors and delinquent minors, the report says.
A police investigation into the incident is underway.
