A fashion designer from Manhattan was discovered dead on a boat at the Montauk Yacht Club. Originally from Ireland, she had mentioned a way to “light up every room” through her relationship with her boyfriend.
The funeral for Martha Nolan Oslatala took place early Wednesday at the Assumption Cathedral in Carlow, a small town about 50 miles from Dublin.
Nicolas Dilbio, her 33-year-old boyfriend, was among those carrying her casket from the crowded church.
“Martha had a special ability to light up every room she walked into, whether it was her distinctive ‘Hello’ or her well-known hand gesture,” he shared with those gathered during the service.
“I could always feel her positive presence in every space she entered,” he added, reflecting on her kindness and how she prioritized others. “She loved helping many people, and she was fortunate to feel that love in return.”
During the service, Martha’s personal items, including her passports and makeup brushes, along with flags from the US and Ireland, were displayed.
Martha, who moved to New York City in 2018 and co-founded the East X East swimwear brand, was found deceased earlier this month in the Hamptons.
On August 5th, she was found unresponsive on a boat named Ripple, owned by insurance mogul Christopher Dahnan.
Authorities are considering the possibility of an accidental drug overdose, as her body showed no signs of violence, according to a police source.
Meanwhile, her family is urging for a deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
