Martha Stewart is embracing a new challenge, especially regarding her look and beauty routine.
On Monday, the lifestyle mogul hosted a small dinner for her skincare brand, Elm Biosciences, at Flamingo Estate, and made a notable change to her hair for the event.
With stylist Chris Appleton’s help, Stewart showcased a bold updo complete with tendrils framing her face, and a notably voluminous top that added drama.
This hairstyle marked a departure from her usual shoulder-length look, featuring a messy topknot and wavy bangs.
Appleton, who also attended the dinner, played a significant role in creating this look.
Prior to the event, both Stewart and Appleton shared a playful video on Instagram, building excitement around HBO’s “Heated Rivalry.” In the clip, Stewart appeared in a bathrobe with her hair down, while they exchanged friendly greetings as a voice announced names associated with the event.
Appleton captioned the post with “Challenge accepted,” showcasing Stewart’s remarkable hair transformation.
To complement her new style, Stewart chose gold lame leggings, a yellow silk blouse with a knotted neck, and an embroidered cardigan.
The hairstyle evoked memories of Pamela Anderson’s signature look from the ’90s, a trend that has resurfaced across social media under the #Pamcore label.
Stewart is no stranger to flair; last week, she humorously mentioned that she applies makeup before hitting the gym, saying, “There are men at the gym so I have to put on make-up.”
At 84, she seems poised to give lessons on perfecting the Instagram selfie and recently addressed the speculation surrounding her youthful appearance. She firmly stated, “Everyone claims I’ve had plastic surgery, but I’ve never had it,” adding, “I’m the most honest person on the planet. If they don’t believe me, well, I don’t know what else to say.”
