A well-known masseuse has shared a surprising story about how she once sneaked into Buckingham Palace to massage the disgraced former Prince Andrew, an encounter that she described as quite awkward.
Monique Gianneroni mentioned that her June 2000 appointment with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was organized by Ghislaine Maxwell, who was associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Gianneroni, the exiled royal managed to evade the palace’s strict security protocols and led her to his room, where he went into the bathroom and emerged completely naked. She noted there were no security guards present either inside or outside the room.
“I said ‘hello,’ and then he just went into the bathroom and came back out naked,” Gianneroni recalled, describing the moment their eyes met. “I just looked away because I felt so embarrassed.”
The South African masseuse, who received a £75 check from Buckingham Palace at the time—roughly $112.50—recalled how quickly Andrew paid for the towels as well.
“I was really nervous at Buckingham Palace, sort of going through the motions. I don’t remember anything particularly strange, except he took off the towel pretty fast,” she said.
Gianneroni revealed to the publication that Andrew had visited Maxwell’s townhouse in Belgravia multiple times and described Epstein as “creepy, shady and very ostentatious.”
However, she stated that she was unaware of any connection between Andrew and Epstein.
Andrew, who lost his royal titles last year, has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
Recently, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct for allegedly sharing trade documents with Epstein while serving as Britain’s trade envoy from 2001 to 2011.
If convicted of this white-collar crime at the age of 66, he could face a sentence of up to life in prison.
Gianneroni’s massages for Andrew reportedly began prior to his role as trade envoy and are part of his well-documented fondness for massages.
Juan Alessi, a former housekeeper at Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, also claimed that Andrew spent several weeks there receiving daily massages.
