Massie Criticizes Trump Amid Ongoing Dispute

Conflict Between Rep. Thomas Massey and Donald Trump

Representative Thomas Massey from Kentucky recently criticized former President Donald Trump. The tension escalated after both had opposed Trump’s military strike on Iran’s nuclear site.

On social media platform X, Massey reacted to a comment from Vice President JD Vance who was pondering if other Vice Presidents felt thrilled about certain events. In his reply, Massey cautioned Vance about the fallout between Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence that occurred on January 6, 2021.

It’s worth noting that Trump had previously pressed Pence to reject the Congressional certification of the 2020 presidential election results.

“I wonder if the other VPs were as excited as me,” Vance inquired.

Massey’s response? “Ask Mike Pence last month.”

Earlier reports indicated that Pence had disputed Trump’s assertion that actions could have altered the 2020 election’s outcome.

Pence, during his keynote address at a Florida event, remarked, “President Trump is wrong. He had no right to overturn the election. Presidential positions belong to Americans and Americans only.”

Trump referred to the Kentucky House of Representatives, targeting Massey specifically, and is reportedly working with a Political Action Committee to oppose him in the primaries.

In a post on a social media platform, Trump stated, “Take this ‘butt’ out of the office as soon as possible!!!”

In another post, Trump declared, “Rep. Thomas Massey of Kentucky is not a Maga.” He further described him as someone who is not respected by the Maga community and generally votes against party lines.

This ongoing conflict coincides with Massey’s objections to Trump’s approach to military action and his stance against the constitutional implications of such strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
