Rep. Thomas Massey declared he would oppose the proposal as deadlines to avoid a partial government shutdown approach and President Donald Trump urged Republicans to support the passing of fundraising measures.
“Unless I get a lobotomy on Monday and forget what I've seen in the last 12 years, I'm going to be no on CR this week. I'm amazed that many of my colleagues and the public fall into the lie that they'll fight another day,” Massie declared in X's Sunday post.

“Congress must keep the government open so that it can continue to eliminate government waste, fraud and abuse. This continuing resolution is necessary to promote President Trump's agenda, and I fully support it,” Harris declared in a tweet.

“Why did I continue to waste fraud and discover Doge who abused me? We were told in December that CR will march as we fight. Here we are punting again! wtfo,” Massie declared in a tweet.
A press release from the House Budget Committee on the measure states that “ensures that government shutdowns will not fall on the American people,” “enhancing defense investments and including the largest salary increases for junior enlisted troops over 40 years,” and “increasing funding for air traffic control priorities above FY24.”
“The bill fully funds programs that provide important nutritional assistance to mothers, infants and children, including a WIC increase of over $500 million in total, as the Trump administration requested,” the press release states.
