Vivek Ramaswamy, who will co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk, spoke with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo over the weekend and unveiled plans to cut federal agencies regardless of deep state opposition. .
Dave Rubin plays a clip of their conversation.
“Are you going to shut down the entire agency?” Bartiromo asked, referring to Trump's claim that he was going to shut down the Department of Education.
“We expect to see massive reductions. Certain agencies are expected to be eliminated entirely. We expect to see significant reductions in force in areas of the bloated federal government. We expect to see significant reductions among federal contractors and others who are overbilling the federal government. That's right,” Ramaswamy answered candidly.
Bartiromo's next question was how he plans to avoid the “deep state.”
“Didn't President Biden come up with a plan to make sure these people can't be fired at all? How do you get around that?” she asked.
Ramaswamy acknowledged that “President Biden has made a lot of changes to entrench the administrative state,” which is why “the Supreme Court has slapped them on the wrist time and time again.”
However, assuming that “a U.S. president like Donald Trump is elected with a mandate, both houses of Congress are Republican, and the Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority.” He expects big changes to occur. happen.
“If we don't shrink the federal government now, that will never happen in the future,” he told Bartiromo, adding, “The key is to act quickly and act effectively.” .
“Have you ever considered moving some of these departments or agencies out of Washington?” Bartiromo then asked.
“That's right,” Ramaswamy said, noting that simply requiring employees to come to work could significantly reduce the federal workforce.
“A lot of them don't want to do that,” he says.
Additionally, they intend to “move a lot of people.” [the agencies] They become more responsible to people. ”
Although the plan sounds cruel, Ramaswamy said their intentions were “not cruel.”
“Most of them…individually they are good people and we want to have compassion and generosity in how we deal with this transition, but the real question is, how many of them? There are too many,” he explained. “We shouldn't have 4 million public servants who can't even be elected or removed from office. That's anti-democratic.”
Dave can't wait to watch Ramaswamy and Musk “find all the lost money and ridiculous inefficiencies.”
“Not only will your business really start to flourish, but you'll have more money in your pocket,” he says.
Additionally, DOGE plans to be 100% transparent in eliminating unnecessary agencies. In a recent tweet, Elon Musk outlined his plans to ensure transparency at DOGE.
“All actions of the Ministry of Government Efficiency will be published online to ensure maximum transparency. If you think about it, let us know. We'll also have a ranking of some of the most stupid expenditures of tax money. It's going to be very tragic and very funny at the same time.”
“This is what we all wanted!” says Dave.
