Massive Protests In US, France, England, Germany Against Pahalgam Attack

New Delhi:

Indian community members from various parts of the world held massive protests against the Pahargam terrorist attacks on Sunday, calling for justice for the 26 people killed last Tuesday. The demonstrations took place in Canada, Denmark, the UK, France, Finland, Germany, Spain and the US.

They held placards with slogans supporting India, chanted anti-Pakistani slogans, and waved the Indian flag in search of justice for the victims.

Tensions between India and Pakistan increased after the role of terrorist groups related to Pakistan-based Lashkar Aetaiba emerged in the Pahargam terrorist attacks. It has been one of the most deadly attacks in the region in recent years.

One of the protesters had a placard with the words “India, we stand with you.”

“Pakistan has carried out many attacks before. We’ve seen terrorist attacks in 26/11 (Mumbai) and now we’ve seen Pahargam terrorist attacks. We don’t represent religions or political parties. We just want to send a message to Pakistan.”

“We are here to show our support and solidarity for the families of those who died in the terrorist attacks… I hope that the Indian government will respond to Pakistan in the language they understand,” said a member of the Indian community who attended the London demonstrations.

A woman who was part of the protests in Washington said she was there as well as “suffering” referring to the massive departure of Kashmir Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the early 1990s.

“We were chosen for the faith we followed. My grandfather was targeted and shot dead. He was also a Hindu, so he was targeted (in Kashmir). April 22nd brought many nightmares.

Families of multiple victims of the attack in Baisala Valley in Pahargam said that terrorists went to each and asked about their religion. Those who they said were Hindus were shot dead.

India has hit Pakistan with a series of strict measures, including the expulsion of Pakistani military attachments, the suspension of major Indus water treaties and the immediate closure of Atari land transport posts. Pakistan has also suspended all bilateral agreements with India, including the Shimla Agreement.

A sketch of three terrorists suspected of being involved in the Pahargam attack has been released.

The three suspects have been identified as Pakistani resident Hashim Musa alias Suleman and Ali Bai, alias Tarha Bai, and Adil Hussein Talker, from Anantnag district.

A reward of Rs 20 has been announced for reliable information that will lead to their arrest.
