Masters fans bring the heat as Scottie Scheffler thrives, competition chokes

Scottie Scheffler once again showed the golf world why he is the No. 1 ranked player.

Scheffler entered Sunday’s final round of the Masters with a one-stroke lead. But the leaderboard was stacked up. He will be paired with two-time major champion Collin Morikawa.

Max Homa, Ludvig Aberg and Bryson DeChambeau were each a few strokes behind.

Still, the final group has passed the Amen Corner and it feels like the tournament is almost over.

Scheffler rode the momentum and birdied the 8th, 9th and 10th.

His approach shot on the par-4 ninth was unbelievable.

The 2022 Masters winner spun the ball over the hole and almost went for an eagle.

Meanwhile, Morikawa hit two double bogeys. Aberg was four shots behind the lead and Homa was 12 shots behind, but his own double ended his hopes of winning his first major title.

Once again, fans noticed that Scheffler was taking classes by himself.

Sadly, unless someone completely flips the script, there may not be any drama at the 88th Masters after all.

Scheffler currently holds a three-stroke lead after winning 11 strokes. But his iron play is so strong that we’ll probably all be watching Scheffler continue his dominant run while all of his competitors fall behind.
