TNA Roster Shines with Emerging Stars
The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) lineup features a blend of promising young talent alongside experienced veterans, creating a dynamic atmosphere in the organization.
On Thursday nights, wrestling enthusiasts can catch “Impact,” showcasing several wrestlers who, let’s be honest, are poised to become fan favorites—if they’re not already.
In a recent interview, Matt Hardy, TNA World Tag Team Champion, highlighted some wrestlers to watch as TNA approaches its Lockdown pay-per-view event.
“I think Mustafa Ali has been shining for a while and is now really in his prime,” he noted. “Also, Jason Hotch is starting to make a name for himself, and I believe he has a lot of potential to grow within TNA.” Hardy seems pretty sure of this.
Hotch recently clinched the TNA International Championship from Ali in a thrilling match on “Impact,” with a rematch set for Lockdown on August 23rd.
Hardy further mentioned, “Leon Slater stands out as well. He’s been learning from me and Jeff. At just 21, the knowledge he carries is impressive.” It’s like there’s this natural instinct he possesses that’s rare at such a young age.
Slater held the title of TNA X Division Champion for an extended period until Cedric Alexander dethroned him. During Lockdown, Alexander will defend his championship, which, if lost, would effectively wipe Slater’s impressive nearly 300-day reign from the record books.
Additionally, Hardy pointed out Ricky Sosa as a key figure. Having made a name for himself on the independent circuit, Sosa joined TNA earlier this year. Hardy said, “Ricky’s also just 21. I see big things for him here. Leon might be on his way to WWE or AEW someday, but I’d like to see him stay with TNA longer. Look out for him, along with Jason Hotch and Ricky Sosa—those three are really making waves.” There’s something about young talent that’s just so exciting, right?
At Lockdown, Matt and Jeff Hardy are also set to defend their TNA World Tag Team Championship against Nick and Ryan Nemeth.
Lockdown will take place in Chicago’s Credit Union 1 Arena, with all matches happening within steel cages, adding another layer of intensity to the event.
